DAVE ETTER Dave Etter a professional voice entertainer. He was approached by promoter Shane Dunagan 2006 to be the ring announcer for the newly formed Xtreme Courage Fighting Championships venue. "Crazy" Dave has been the voice of the XCFC ever since. Dave started in the entertainment business while in high school, as one of the voices for Safford High On The Air between 1973-1977. That provided the door to radio, where Dave hosted the weekend evening show on 1230 KATO-AM from 1976-1977. Dave also DJed for the newly opened Blue Magic Disco during that same period. He then headed out to California, where he landed a 7 year stint as a circus sideshow "barker" for several sideshows, including Bobby Reynolds International Circus Sideshow. During this time, the sideshow provided ample opportunities to be in television, movies, commercials and documentaries. Dave then joined the US Navy to be in the Submarine force from 1983 to 1992, during which he ran a karaoke route for the Jacksonville Florida based company Karaoke Celebration. After leaving the Navy, Dave worked as security manager and backup DJ in Kingsland, Georgia for the nightclub "Fathoms" by night and as the regional manager for Computer Clinic, St Marys, Georgia. When Dave and family returned to Arizona in 1994, he started working for Diamond International Computers in Safford. He went to work for Real Country KFMM-FM 99.1 in 1998 as Program Director and morning show producer/voice talent for the highly popular Carl & Dave show. This is where promoter Shane Dunagan and Crazy Dave met, during an on-air live interview in July 2005 promoting a King of the Cage event his team was competing in, and again in January 2006. Dave's knowledge of MMA and his natural interviewing style creates a flavor for the XCFC which has garnered praise from the fans, the teams, and the New Mexico Athletic Commission. Be sure to collect all the XCFC DVDs, where you can hear and see Dave in action, and be sure to come to the next XCFC event - posted elsewhere on this site.
